Five reasons why God is important in your life?
If you are a believer in the God of Abraham, nobody doubts that you have many reasons why you consider the creator of the sun, the earth and the stars as one of the most important spiritual figures in your life. As a father, a guide, and protector: When you look up to the sky, raising your hands in prayer to the all creator, you are sure that God is listening to your words all the time, because God loves each of his children and never leaves you alone in the most difficult moments of your life, because God is love.
It is possible that , as a loving mother, the well-being of your children is the most important thing in your life. Perhaps you are a simple farmer who depends enormously on the fruit of the earth to feed your family, which makes it your most precious material possession.
Do not have the slightest doubt that for all believers, there are five things that make God the most important and influential figure in their lives. Number one: In one way or another, God with only his spiritual presence, gives you meaning in your life.
Number Two: With God’s example, sending his only son to be sacrificed gives you a sense of direction. Number three: When you observe the greatness of the universe, God shows you that there is a higher entity that is above you.
Number four: When God, with his teachings through life, the crucifixion, and the resurrection of his only son, produces in you an indescribable sense of morality, Number five: When God said “You let the children come to me, and at the same time I let you know what the purpose of your life is.
The Reason number one: Why did God give you a sense of direction?
No one doubts that when you are a believer in whatever your goals are, reaching said goals produces in you a sense of direction. If you are a believer, who has spiritual goals.
but also earthly goals associated with faith, there is no doubt that believing in God is something important in your life because of the sense of direction that God offers you. Many times before you were born as a creation of God, there was in you that sense of creation instilled in all God’s children.
If you ever feel lost, just being touched by the Holy Spirit is enough to feel that you are walking on the right path, blessed by the creator of men. The Bible promises that you can “Seek his will in all you do” (Proverbs 3:6) and depend on him to guide your way. “I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6).
We all know that the path to salvation and being in grace with God is important, it is a journey full of sacrifices, limitations, suffering and empathy towards others. God requires you to achieve certain spiritual goals, through prayers, submission and obedience to the father as a way to cleanse all sins, purify your soul and reach the paradise promised to those who believe in the word of God without asking.
The paths that the Church offers us for this conversion are especially three: fasting, prayer and almsgiving. The moment you accept the Son of God as your savior, God shows you the way to go, which produces in you that sense of direction that you were looking for so much. “Guide me in the right way, O Lord,” (Psalm 5:8); “Teach me your ways, O Lord” (Psalm 86:11); “Teach me to do your will, because you are my God!” (Psalm 143:10).
The Reason number two: Why God is the most important thing in your life?
How is God giving meaning to your life? No one doubts that one of the things in people’s lives is that they can offer to improve the general well-being of others, and no one doubts that God has a lot to give when it comes to the spiritual well-being of believers.
I have always believed that God shows you the way, which gives you a sense of direction in your life. At the same time, God gives you the necessary tools: intelligence, your own will, unique human and spiritual qualities that you use to add, improve, love, care, nurture, value, create and change things wherever you go to please others.
But also to please God, which gives meaning to your life. The meaning of your life is not what is expected from another, but what you can give to others.
The meaning of life is not expecting God to do everything for you, but what you can do to enrich God’s creation. For a mother, the care, love and protection of her children are what gives her life meaning. For a composer, creating songs whose melody enriches the human soul is what gives meaning to life.
For a doctor, curing the sick is what gives meaning to life. For a nun, a high priest, a pastor, and a preacher to give their lives in the service of God to guide misguided souls is what gives meaning to life. Most of the time, for believers, praising the existence, greatness, divine benevolence and spiritual wisdom of the God of heaven is what gives meaning to life.
The reason number three: why is God important in your life?
We must talk about the sense of morality that you have, what its origin is, and how morality guides your steps correctly. Is morality a learned behavior, or is it something that is part of human nature since creation by Almighty God?
Morality is one of the strongest pillars of the Christian faith. Knowing moral values is something that every Christian learns and accepts as part of what our creator expects from his followers. In this sense, moral values allow us to differentiate between good and bad, right and wrong, and just and unjust.
For me, there is no better example of morality and why it is necessary than reading Proverbs 29:18. Where there is no vision, the people riot, but blessed is he who keeps the law. According to the words of God.
It is possible that you have also read that morality is the set of customs and norms that are considered good to direct or judge the behavior of people in a community, which are closely associated with probity, integrity, honesty, rectitude and kindness.
All believers know that moral values are supported by Christian ethics, which lies in the practice of good and good works, as Jesus Christ commands in the Gospel. On the other hand, good or good action is intrinsically present in the person himself, who, according to Christian teaching, was made in the image and likeness of God.
All our moral values have their origin in our Creator, God. This is where, to understand the origin of this sense of morality, we must understand the reasons why God created the human being as equal and similar to his heavenly father.
Analyzing the words of God in Matthew 5:43–44: You have heard that it was said: Love your neighbor, and you will hate your enemy.”
But I say to you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you and Luke 6:35–36 says, Rather, love your enemies, and do good, and lend without expecting anything in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, for He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
These two verses tell you that for God to have moral values, we all must cultivate them and act based on them.
The reason number four: why God is important to you?
It is recognizing that, in the face of the immensity of the universe, knowing that there is something or someone superior to you is extremely important. When you recognize how small you feel, how fragile you are as a human being and above all, how little control you have over natural phenomena, knowing that someone superior to you, an all-powerful divine being, is watching you, taking care of you, guiding you and accompanying you at every step, create in you the feeling that you are never alone.
When you believe in and accept his presence, the spirit of God is everywhere. His presence is evident in everything you hear, see, and feel. With that feeling of the existence of a spiritual entity greater than you, you accept all the limitations that you think you have as part of the plan that the creator of the universe, the earth, has over each of his creations.
God is important to you, because you feel that believing, adoring, praying, making sacrifices, obeying his decisions and accepting his truth without question is the only way to salvation and eternal life. Remember!! In the most difficult moments, God is with you. When you are afraid, God is with you. In the saddest moments, God is with you, and when you feel that you are alone, believe me! God is with you too. Because you accept that there is an all-powerful divine God greater than you.
Reason number five: Why is God important in your life?
By learning about the reason for your creation by God, you can know what the real purpose of your life is. In one way or another, we all have a purpose in life as human beings. Some will say that from a biological perspective, your purpose as a living being is to reproduce, protect and adapt to the environment that surrounds you. Analyzing Genesis 1:27–28, God creates this earth, its heavens, and all life forms in six days. God creates men, male and female, in his own image.
God gives man dominion over all things, and he is commanded to multiply and replenish the earth. As you can see from the biblical point of view, God told his creation the purpose of the life of what was created. When we talk about your life purpose, we can talk about the biological, biblical and individual reasons for it. From the moment you are born, God instills in you the feeling that the purpose of your life is.
It is up to you to follow that inner feeling that drives you through each of the steps you take in life. If you learn to follow that feeling, you will never feel lost on the way forward when confusion is part of life because you lose that inner guide, which shows you the way to reach the purpose of your life imprinted on you by your creator.
As an individual, apart from God’s purpose when he created you in his likeness to populate the earth created by him and have dominion over animals, God also gave you free will so that as an individual, you follow your own different path from other men.
That path to follow, whatever the one chosen by you as an individual, should always be to please God, but also to have a purpose in your life, which is in accordance with what the Almighty God commanded when he gave you the opportunity to chart your own path.
The purpose of your life is to serve God all the time, in heaven and on earth, in life and in death, in your most difficult and best moments, as a way of obeying what God said on the day of the creation of the man and woman. Remember you were created to fulfill God’s purpose. Pleasing your creator God in everything is part of that purpose in your life.
When you stop believing in the word of God at that moment you forget what the purpose of your life really is. As a person who believes in the Christian God: Follow the words of God and you find the meaning of your life. Follow God’s example and you will find your sense of morality. You follow the path laid out by God and the sense of direction will always be with you. Praise God every day and you will never feel alone. Please God in everything he asks of you and you will know what the purpose of your life really is.
