Did we create God, or did God create us?

Did we create God, or did God create us? When you hear that question, whatever your religious beliefs, I can guess your answers. But, what happens when you ask that question to people who are not believers in the God of Abraham? This is where rational scientific thinking collides with irrational theological personality.

Where the origin of the first cause is always the genesis of debate between believers and non-believers, where one group is based on verifiable scientific hypotheses and the other group supports their convictions based on faith. For believers, everything was created by God, for non-believers, God is a creation of the Universe, a product of magical thought of the human being.

Between the scientific method and faith, which of these methods is closer to the truth? This is where it starts to get interesting when it comes to answering the question, “Did man create God, or did God create man? It gets interesting. According to the Bible in Genesis 1:1–2, God, in the beginning, created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was in total chaos, darkness covered the abyss, and the Spirit of God moved on the surface of the waters. We should also mention Romans 11:36: For all things proceed from him, and exist through him and for him. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

We should also talk about Genesis 1:26: And God said, “Let us make man in our image and likeness. May he have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky. Domestic animals, wild animals, and all creeping things that crawl on the ground.” Analyzing these verses of the Bible, there is no doubt that God was the creator of men.

The earth, the sky and all the stars. Of course! Accepting this as truth based on faith does not really answer the question in the absence of evidence that can be accepted as Irrefutable evidence can be presented. Is everything the Bible says based on truth and supported by verifiable evidence? The answer is No. But, that doesn’t mean that everything you read in the Bible is a lie.

The Bible has many truths about historical events that can be verified

Many scientists allege that the origin of the universe we know has its origin in the Big Bang. Others more Conservatives speak of the great expansion. Anyone with common sense asks about the origin of the big bang.

This is where discussing the first cause produces a great challenge not only for scientists but also for theologians when talking about the origin of God. If God created humans, then who created God? To find the answer to this question, we have to start by gathering evidence that is verifiable. This is where the scientific method is the best tool to get to the truth.

Perhaps that is why looking for the origin of the first case using the scientific method and religious faith is, from my point of view, a waste of time because both groups, according to my opinion, each of the hypotheses and conclusions is mostly based on speculation, a product of observation and indoctrination.

Despite the many advances that we know in the scientific area and chorology on the laws that govern the universe, knowing the origin of the universe is something that nobody knows. The expression “I don’t know” is used by many believers to introduce God as their creator because scientists cannot refute this religious belief with evidence that proves otherwise.

Is God the creator of men, or did men create God?

Analyzing the studies, experiments, historical artifacts, and ancient Fosse discovered by anthropology—let’s not talk about the work of biology when we talk about evolution and the human gene, especially when we talk about the role that chromosomes play in the biological design of living beings.

Another aspect to consider is the study of human behavior by Psychology when it comes to emotions, perception, mental structures, consciousness and magical thinking.

There is no doubt that, starting from what was mentioned previously, you may find it more acceptable that God is a creation of the mystical behavior of the human being, not the other way around. It is much easier to find evidence that God is the product of the magical thinking of the human mind and that human beings were created by the finger of a God, according to biblical scriptures.

I have always believed that God only exists in the minds of those who believe in his existence. Perhaps that is why there are too many gods and too many belief systems because they are all the product of the subjective mind of the human being, who interprets the events that surround him based on cultural level, group experience and distorted perception of reality or not.

When you analyze the findings in all the excavations made by anthropologists associated with the mystical behavior of the first human settlers, the worship of a God was not part of the ritual behavior, using dances, worship, sacrifices and magical objects.

Many of the deceased were buried with their belongings, which indicated knowledge of supernatural worlds associated with death, not a God. The human being is a product of magical thought.

To control supernatural events created by humans as a result of fear and ignorance, God gave rise to the creation of deities or mythological figures with powers that humans themselves would like to have.

What is the true age of the earth according to the Bible and science, and who do you believe?

If you take Bishop Usher’s calculation that creation took place in 4004 BC. We could say that the earth, according to the Christians, is around 6,000 years old, taking the scriptures of the holy book or the Bible as a reference.

According to scientific data, the Earth is approximately 4.54 billion years old, which has been calculated by geologists using various methodologies, the most recent being radiometric dating. Ask yourself a question as a simple observer: Which of these two figures is closer to the truth?

If the Bible is wrong about the age of the earth, that also creates doubt in its creator, and all the stories about genesis in the biblical books in which the creation of the human being is an important part where it is assured that God created man according to his resemblance.

Is man the product of creation by a God, or is he the product of an evolutionary process? If man is the product of an evolutionary process, that means that God is a mythical figure created by the mind of a human being.

I want you to understand that when you listen to a story, one of the questions to answer is “Who wrote the story?” or “Who told the story to be told?” I can tell you about the origin of a God, but your God cannot tell me the origin of my existence as a human being. To whom did God tell the story about the creation of the universe, men, stars, fish and birds? To nobody. The only ones that exist are mythological stories told by those who were not present during genesis, and much less, were chosen to hear that story directly by God.

This is where one of the first biblical contradictions begins, where the first cause causes problems for believers, when someone claims that God created men. If God created humans, to which human did God tell that story, so that someone would tell it?

This is where we have to make a difference between the word of God and the history of God told in a sacred book by those who follow and interpret the life of that God according to the teaching of the believers, who accept it as truth based on faith.

The mythology associated with a biblical God does not have much difference from the mythology associated with the Greek, Indian, Buddhist, African, Inca and Mayan gods, which were the product of the magical thought of the human being. Perhaps that is why I am inclined to believe that God is a creation of the human mind, not the other way around.
